Bernadine spent her childhood years in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design to major in Illustration. She also studied fine art where she was most interested in Art History, Painting, and Drawing. She taught at various private schools in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs as well as in Southern California where she currently resides.
Bernadine specializes in creating art that incorporates the use of dramatic natural light and dark contrast to create depth and space. She recently began exploring the creation of decorative objects in organic, unfinished forms. She is also creating vintage style prints by hand from photos/art from her collection as well as from royalty-free, public domain images.
